View Article  Help, I’ve been Well and Truly Googled!

Help I've been well and truly Googled! I have come to realise that I seem to be using an awful lot of Google's services, just how many I wasn't really sure. I have now put a list  together of the Google services that I use regularly and I am totally shocked. It seems they have me well and truly in the grasp. 'Course they  are all free right now but how many of these could I survive without if they start charging??!!

This is the list, how many of these are you using?

1. Google Advanced Search
2. Google Alerts
3. Google Maps
4. Google Desktop search
5. Google Analytics website statistics
6. Google Calendar
7. Google Checkout
8. Google Docs
9  Google Gadgets
10. Google Mail
11. Google Earth
12. Google Reader
13. Google Talk
14. Google toolbar
15. Google Photos Screensaver
16. Google for Mobile
17. Google Street View
18. Google Browser Sync
19. Google Extensions for Firefox
20. Google Chrome
21. Google Buzz
22. Google Latitude
23. iGoogle
24. Youtube
25. Picasa

I don't use Android on my mobile phone yet but I went to a trade show in London last Friday and one of the HTC sales guys put a new HTC Desire Android mobile phone in my hand. I fell in love instantly, totally and Unequivocally. I WANT ONE!! At last a real IPhone killer, it's beautiful.

View Article  New Really Cool Image Search

This is really neat. If you use Google image search try this free download for your browser. After installation, do an image search on Google (http://images.google.co.uk/imghp?amp%3Bie=UTF-8&%3...) then hover over one of the thumbnails and click the little arrow that appears - wow!

Download the plug-in at: http://www.piclens.com

View Article  Your Own Bird Stamps

This seems quite fun and I didn't know that you could do it. I have just ordered some 'Little Egret' stamps.

View Article  Personalised Google Page

For those of you that run Google as a personalised default start page  in your browser (if you don't, see: http://www.google.com/ig as it's pretty neat) You can now add our webcam as part of the content.

Once you have signed in to receive personalised content you can go to the 'add stuff' link at the top right and on the next page type in 'webcam' in the search box. Once the list comes up select to add the 'Anycam' function (2nd one down at the time of writing). Once this is on your homepage, all you need do is select 'edit' from the app menu and enter in the URL of http://www.southendrspb.co.uk/serspbcam/camera0.jpg in the 'Cam Image Location' and the 'Cam Homepage'  boxes and then you will have our webcam whenever you start your browser.
