Re: Heron as a Bird of Prey?

I once saw a Heron eat a small fish (probably Rudd,) then a frog, and finally a Water Vole!! All within 30 mins. The vole was a real shame as it ate it whole and live - no drowning here - and you could see it wriggling as it went down. This was in the Lee Valley. We still talk about "poor voley" even now many years on.
